there are 206 named bones in the human adult complete skeleton… but some people have extra bones (for example, at the tail bone area) and some bones form due to usage or structure there are un-named bones too. sesamoid bones develop where there is friction and tension such as a heel spur- a calcification is a bone. suture bones are found inbetween the joints of the skull, like little islands So the correct answer is- a fully formed adult human has 206 named bones.
