Judicial Service Competitive Examination | Himachal Pradesh Civil Judge (Junior Division) Examination./strongbr /br /strongScheme of HPJS Examination/strongbr /In HPJS exam It is a three stage examination:-br /(A) Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)br /(B) Mains Examination (Written Type)br /(C) Personality Test (Interview)br /strongu(A) Preliminary Examination/u/strongbr / br /The preliminary examination of HPJS shall be an objective type examination consisting of the following three papers of 100 Marks each:br /• Civil Law-Ibr /• Civil Law-IIbr /• Criminal Lawbr /Each paper shall be of one-hour duration and the HPJS examination in all thethree papers shall be held on the same day. The syllabus for the preliminary examination shall be the same as provided for Paper-I to III for the Main examination. br /strongu(B) Main (Narrative) Examination/u/strongbr / br /Main HPJS Examination will be consisting of 05 papers as follows:br /PAPER-I Civil Law-I (200 Marks)br /PAPER-II Civil Law-II (200 Marks)br /PAPER-III Criminal Law (200 Marks)br /PAPER-IV English Composition (200 Marks)br /PAPER-V Language (Hindi) (100 Marks)br /br /strongMinimum Qualifying Marks:/strongbr /(i) No candidate shall be credited with any marks in any paper unless he obtains at least 45 percent marks in that paper, except Hindi language paper (paper-V) in which candidate should obtain at least 33 percent marks.br /(ii) No candidate shall be considered to have qualified the written testunless he obtains 50 percent marks in aggregate in all papers and at least 33 percent marks in language paper i.e. Hindi in Devanagri script.br /stronguSyllabii/u/strongbr /Syllabii for main HPJS (narrative) examination will be as follows:br /br /strongPaper-I (Civil Law-I):/strongbr /· Code of Civil Procedurebr /· Indian Evidence Actbr /· Indian Stamp Actbr /· Himachal Pradesh Courts Act, 1976br /· Specific Relief Act.br /strongPaper-II.
