BPSC is a government body that select individuals for public services in state of Bihar. It recruits candidates for civil posts with the sole motive of creating and fostering a Public Service Commission which is free, non- biased, honest, Operational and capable enough to meet and fulfil the requirements of common people from the government side. BPSC acts as direct recruitment for BAS i.e. Bihar Administrative Services is equivalent to Indian Administrative Services
Eligibility:Ø The candidate must be the citizen of India to be eligible for the BPSC EXAM.
Ø The applicant must be graduated in any discipline from the recognized college or university. The degree of graduation considered valid is in Maths/Civil Engineering/Chemical engineering/Economics/ Natural Science/ Geology/Mechanical Engineering.
Ø The candidate age should not be less than21 years of age and not more than 38 years
Ø Age relaxation for OBC , SC/ST as per government norms is 5 years
EXAM PATTERN The exam will be conducted in 3 stages- Prelims, Mains and Interview.
· The BPSC exam is of 1170 marks divided into -the prelim exam is of 150 marks, the mains exam is for 900 marks and the interview is for 120 marks.
·
For Prelims exam:· It is of 150 marks for which you’ll be given 2 hours
· There is no negative marking
· The questions will be in Hindi and English language both.
· It is an objective type paper
· The exam is conducted in an offline mode
For mains exam:· The BPSC Exam has a compulsory qualifying paper –General Hindi for 100 marks and is given 3 hours to attempt this
· There are two papers for General Studies for 300 marks each and will be given 3 hours each to attempt it
· Questions of General Studies are available in Hindi and English both.
· The Candidates have to qualify in General Hindi.
· The exam is conducted in an offline mode
The candidates who clear mains exam will be called for the Interview round TIPS & TRICKS· Don’t waste your time on Difficult question, Try solving those first , whom you are sure about
· Time management is very important during the exam but also while preparing for exam
· You should be well prepared and confident while appearing for the interview round.
· Make daily Targets for yourself , and check the at the end of the day
· While you prepare, you should write down he important things you need to revise just before the exam.
· Give as many as mock test you can
· It will help you improve your speed , and will make you analyse your weaker and strong areas
· Make a daily habit of writing that’ll help you increase your speed
· Improve your basics, that’ll help you crack tricky questions
· To improve you General Awareness you should regularly read newspaper , watch news, read magazines and should be well aware of the current affairs
