  • strongExam Pattern:/strong Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services Combined Competitive Examination consists of the following stages.br /1. Stage -I: Preliminary Examinationbr /2. Stage -II: Main Written Examinationbr /strongScheme of Examination:/strongbr /strong1. Preliminary examination:/strong Initially, a Preliminary examination consisting of 02 papers based on objective type (multiple choices) questions on the following pattern will be held.br /strongPaper-I:/strong General Studies (Code No.01). This paper shall be of 200 marks and there shall be 100 objective types (Multiple choice) questions.br /strongPaper-II:/strong Aptitude Test (Code No.02). This paper shall be of 200 marks and in this paper there shall be 100 objective types (multiple choice) questions. The duration of Papers No. I and II (General Studies and Aptitude Test) will be two hours each.br /This preliminary examination will consist of two objective type papers (multiple choice questions) and carry a maximum of 400 marks. The number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Examination will be about 20 times the total an approximate number of vacancies to be filled the year in the Posts / Service. Only those candidates who have been declared to have qualified the preliminary examination by the H.P. Public Service Commission in a year will be eligible for admission to the main examination of that year provided they are otherwise eligible for admission to the Main Examination.br /br /strong2. Main Written Examination:/strong  The candidates declared qualified in the Preliminary examination will be entitled to admission to the Main written examination, if otherwise found eligible. The number of candidates to be called for the Main written examination will be about 20 times the total number of vacancies to be filled in on the basis of the aforementioned examination. The candidates who are declared qualified in the (Preliminary) examination shall be required to apply for (Main) written examination separately on the prescribed application form available from the official website. The candidates are required to send the complete main application form along with the required documents along with the requisite examination fee to the Commission’s office on or before the last date for receipt of application as mentioned in the notice for inviting main application form.br / 


  • 1.First the preliminary exam: it comprises of 2 exams that are held in order to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination that is held later. It is held offline. Paper-I is General Studies of 2 hours for 200 Marks with 100 questions.br /2. Paper-II is General Aptitude Test of 2 hours for 200 Marks with 100 questions.br /3. All questions are compulsory. 1/3 will be charged for an wrong answer.  br /4. Candidates need 33% in prelims to qualify in the main exam.br /5. Now we have our mains exam.   • Pattern is, that the exame standar of question shall be equall to the IAS or UPSC,and there shall not be any optional subjact of any specified stream.


  • Compulsory papers  are -  english Hindi Essay Genral studies I , General Studies II , General Studies IIIbr /Optional paper - Paper I and Paper IIbr /br /br /and keep this thing in mind that u have to score 40% minimum in hindi and english to score
