GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is an exam conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council which began in the year 1953. It is a computer based exam.
Exam Pattern
To schedule GMAT, one must create an account on GMAC official website and enter academic qualifications.
One can register either online, over call or through postal mail. It is when you schedule an exam over call, candidates are charged 10$.
After complete application, one needs to pay whole fee of US $250.
The exam happens in 4 sections:
Analytical Writing Assessment- 1 Topic- 30 minutes
Integrated Reasoning- 12 Questions- 30 minutes
Quantitative- 31 Questions- 62 minutes
Verbal- 36 Questions- 65 minutes

Analytical Writing Assessment- Analysis of an Argument
Integrated Reasoning- Multi-Source Reasoning, Graphics Interpretation, Two-Part Analysis, Table Analysis
Quantitative- Data Sufficiency, Problem Solving
Verbal- Reading Comprehension, Critical Reasoning, Sentence Correction
