centromere are the structure on which 2 kinetochore are present kinetochore are for attachment of spindle fibres $ centromere are for attachment of chromatids

kinetochore is pair of plate like stru on centromere which help in joining two chromatid and kinetochore give place for attachment of spinal fibre thereby segregation occur in anaphase.
